19 Inches?
As I have mentioned before, Vermont's weather is a tease. I know that a lot of us thought that winter really was over, but thats not entirely true. At least it feels more like summer here in Burlington, with warming weather and the UVM grounds crew laying grass down on the greens. However in Killington, two hours south of here, they received 19 inches of snow the past few days which led to a fantastic powder day yesterday, April 10th. I personally missed the storm, and wont be able to ski it due to classes, however I would recommend all skiers and snowboarders alike to give the drive some consideration. I have skied at Killington a number of times and its a great mountain, even late in the season. It is such a vast mountain that they are able to keep plenty of trails open until the final days before they close. Also since the weather looks cloudy and rainy here in burlington for the following week or so, I would say there is a good chance that the mountains will be getting more snow. Here are a few pictures from yesterday at Killington, give them a look over and hopefully it'll get you amped enough to go check it out for yourself.
